Biography
Romello Henderson is a artist that experiments within any medium that he can express his creativity. Finding no limits to the possibilities and can create just about anything. Growing up, he has always had a love for animation and pursues to own an well-respected animation studio that creates moving narratives about cultural topics that can cause controversy and questions about the constructs of human ideologies. Raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and coming from an creative family, Romello started creating comics from the time he could write and illustrate short narratives. Heavily influenced by cartoons and Japanese animation; known as anime, his drawings uses a few of the aesthetics that you would see throughout his body of work.
Visiting of few of his comic creations, first would come the story created in 2004 while he was in elementary school. The Adventures of John and Ray is about the struggles of becoming a super hero and what its like having a rivalry with a childhood friend. Later created in 2007 came the story of Battles; a series that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Two prophesied beings
battle for the nature forces of the world; order and chaos.
Challenged by a rising totalitarian villain seeking world domination and a passion driven hero that won't allow that to happen. Another comic in the works is Combat From Heaven, a heart-warming love story about a forensic scientist that is gifted with an guardian angel that descended from "heaven". Throughout this story he searches for truth through the mysteries of the natural world, case studies and exploring his spirit. Questioning religion, faith, science, myths and everything beneath and beyond the sun.
Stepping away from some Romello's work, throughout his school career he has gained many achievements and awards such as winning 1st place at the Derby Film Festival in 2012, being featured in Louisville Magazine 2013, and becoming a Governor School of the Arts Alumni of 2013. Exploring art in many different avenues such as dance, film, sculpture, digital media and animation, he gained more experience when he enrolled to Kentucky College of Art and Design in 2014. Finishing with a B.F.A. degree in Studio Art with a concentration in illustration, he now is equipped in film, painting, sculpture, digital media, drawing, animation, programming, visual effects, directing, publishing, editing, designing and printmaking.
